The Japan Wood Research Society invites all scientists interested and involved in various aspects of wood to the International Symposium on Wood Science and Technology 2025 (ISWST2025) at Sendai International Center, Sendai. The aim of the conference is to bring together scientists working on this sustainable and most promising biomaterial for the 21st century. The 2025 World Wood Day Symposium and the Seventh IUFRO Forest Products Culture Colloquium will also be held during the same period. A session of wood anatomy will be organized by IAWA within the symposium.

The conference will cover the following subjects and sessions: 1) Wood Physics; 2) Timber Engineering; 3) Wood Chemistry; 4) Composite Materials and Adhesion; 5) Cell Formation and Wood Structures (including IAWA Special Session); 6) Biodegradation and Preservation of Wood (including Memorial Session of Prof. Dan Cullen); 7) Biorefinery and Bioeconomy; 8) 2025 WWD Symposium & IUFRO Forest Products Culture Colloquium Session; 9) Wood in Health and Wellness.
