The 43rd Mid-Continent Paleobotanical Colloquium 2026 (MPC) will take place from March 23-26, 2026, at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) in Panama, one of the most biodiverse and ecologically rich regions in the world. 

Each year, MPC brings together researchers and students to explore the world of ancient plants, their evolution, and their role in shaping the planet’s ecosystems, through a series of talks, poster sessions, and excursions to sites of geological and botanical interest in the area.
